Vintage Stocklots Guide
How many pieces are in 100 kg of vintage clothing?
See why the number of garments in a 100 kg vintage clothing stocklot varies by category and how to estimate pieces responsibly.
Marketplace note: Vintage Stocklots provides the marketplace. Stocklots are offered by independent sellers, and buyers and sellers agree transaction, payment and transport terms directly with each other.
There is no fixed number
A 100 kg lot of T-shirts can contain far more pieces than a 100 kg lot of heavy denim, coats or knitwear.
Use average garment weight
A useful estimate is total lot weight divided by the approximate average weight per garment. Treat the result as an estimate unless the seller has counted every piece.
Category matters
Light tops, shirts and sportswear generally yield more pieces per kilogram than jeans, jackets and winter outerwear.
For marketplace listings
Vintage Stocklots is designed to show both weight and estimated piece count where supplied, so buyers can compare bulk lots more easily.
